Chick-fil-A: Kickoff
Georgia Bulldogs running back Brian Herrien made an unforgettable debut during the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game on September 3, 2016. On his first collegiate carry, Herrien dashed 23 yards into the end zone, diving past UNC defender Donnie Miles (#15), who arrived too late to prevent the score. Herrien's touchdown helped Georgia secure a 14-7 lead in the first half, marking a pivotal moment in their season opener.

The Bulldogs, led by coach Kirby Smart in his debut, overcame a halftime deficit to defeat the #22 North Carolina Tar Heels 33-24 in the Georgia Dome. Key performances included Nick Chubb’s record-breaking 222 rushing yards and two touchdowns, alongside Herrien’s electrifying run. The win also marked Georgia's first victory over a ranked opponent in a season opener at a neutral site.
